 True Prosperity and Wealth
Back to Full Blog

Real prosperity is not having a lot of money--real prosperity is knowing Jesus in your spirit and soul.

God's love, peace, joy and comfort.

The deceitfulness of money is that it doesn't deliver what it promises--but Jesus DOES.

If you want forgiveness of your sins, inner peace, relaxation, protection, no worries, satisfaction, love, joy, enjoyment, pleasure, meaning, and every other blessing, you CANNOT get these from money--you can only get these from Jesus.

Why else do you think so many millionaires who have "everything" put a gun barrel into their mouths and pull the trigger or "accidentally overdose" on pills? Or, like Brad Delp of the rock group Boston ("More than a Feeling"), asphyxiate themselves sitting in their cars and filling the garage with carbon monoxide?

Why do they murder themselves?

Because tons of money and hot sex and adoring fans and a big house and an exotic sports car and gourmet food and perfect health and recreational drugs and worldwide fame and amazing talent and endless accomplishments and advanced education and the perspective of youth and perfect logic and Buddhistic meditation and even beautiful children and exciting romance and little enjoyments and good friendships--CANNOT forgive your sins and fill your soul with God's love and peace.

It's not only money that is *worthless* compared to Jesus--all these other things are to be accounted as trash compared to Him also.

People who do not believe in Jesus and who do not have a daily prayer-and- obedience ~grace relationship~ with Him have NO inner peace.

Let me say that again:

People who do not believe in Jesus and who do not have a daily prayer-and- obedience ~grace relationship~ with Him have NO inner peace.

None.

I don't need to go round and ask them and see their big fake smiles and hear their lies--the Bible already tells me this is true.

Some of them have looked for all of these things in the false god Money, and it disappointed them unbelievably hugely.

They'd tell you this themselves but they are dead and most are being tormented in Hell. They are permanently and forever away from the comforting presence of God. (This presence and blessing of God, by the way, is being felt today by unbelieving people in our world today. It's called "common grace." God blesses good people and evil people alike with things to enjoy. This is why life on this Earth, as bad and painful as it gets, is never anything at all compared to the barren horror and unutterably painful torment of Hell.)

Money is good and necessary and needed --it is the wages of work and investment, and sometimes the gift of God.

Money needs to be wisely and proportionately managed and dealt with to take care of our needs and to help the church and the needy.

Money is never more valuable than when you have very little. The more you get, the less important it is.

Imagine how utterly unimportant money is to Bill Gates, personally! It has been decades since money had the power to improve his life!

A half hour a day of focused morning prayer to Jesus will give you a relationship with the One who graciously provides everything for your enjoyment, and adds no trouble to it.

For most people, a huge amount of money is like pouring thousands of gallons of gasoline onto the spark of greed and idolatry in their souls.

True success is obeying God.

True prosperity is having a daily spiritual relationship with Jesus.

A much higher percentage of lottery winners commit suicide than the general population.

Why is that?

Forgiveness of your sins and inner spiritual and soul satisfaction and love and peace and joy CANNOT be bought with money.

Only Jesus can do that.

Only Jesus can give you Heaven in the real world.

Life without Him, even on this Earth, can turn into a hellish experience.

Do you have Jesus as your Savior?
